Elections are participatory only if the Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina/people can vote in the press conference

The press conference was about the tour of South Africa.  But the politics of the country,Dr.  Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina answered questions on various issues including the Yunus context.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that it will be a participatory election if the people can vote.  He said those who will win the people's vote will come to the government.

The Prime Minister said these things in response to questions from journalists at a press conference held at Ganabhaban on Tuesday regarding his visit to South Africa.     He attended the BRICS summit in South Africa.  The Prime Minister returned to the country last Sunday.

In the press conference, the prime minister gave an introductory speech about the achievements of the visit, participated in some programs including the BRICS conference in South Africa, met with whom.  Then he answered various questions of the journalists.  In this, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina answered the question about the Nobel laureate's letter about Nobel laureate economist Dr. Muhammad Yunus.  Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also spoke about the role of syndicates in rising commodity prices and the current political situation.

A journalist's question was, many people want to see the next election as participatory.  What initiatives will you take to make it participatory?

In response, the Prime Minister said, whose participation is participation?  To me, participation is people's participation.  People will vote.  Those who win that vote will come to the government.

On the question of the participation of the opposition, the Prime Minister said, whose participation is participation?  Vote thieves, vote robbers?  Corrupt, money laundering, murderers, August 21 grenade attackers, assassins of the Father of the Nation, 71 war criminals their participation?  Is it what the people want?  They will be valid only if they participate.  And it won't happen if someone else does it, it can't happen.

Talking about BNP, Awami League president Sheikh Hasina said that BNP got only 30 seats (parliament seats) in 2008 elections.  Since then they have not participated in the election.  They just survived the nomination by trading.

Sheikh Hasina also said that maybe the nomination will be sold and traded.  Some money will go to the Gulshan office, and the bulk will go to London.  This is participation in elections.  Then they themselves will tie a problem in the polling station and say, this is why we could not hold the election.  I withdrew.  Now participation, this is my question to those who are restless by participation. The prime minister said that participation in elections means people's participation.  He said as many by-elections, local government elections, people did not participate?  Participatory election is done.

What is happening in the country? What will happen?

A journalist questioned the activities of foreign diplomats.  His question was, the activities of the United States are visible inside and outside.  Ambassadors of Russia, India and China are highly visible.  Our leftist friends are getting to China.  Some are also going to India.  Seeing all the people say what is happening in the country?  What will happen?  In response to this, the Prime Minister said that no one can answer what will happen.  It is for the people to decide.  What do they want?  He said that those who once failed to run the country were rejected by the people, there is pain in their hearts.  They will see evil in what you do well.

In response to another question about free and fair elections in the open letter of more than 100 Nobel laureates, the Prime Minister said, "Where was this tone when the military dictators were holding elections?"  In our country, those who give statements now, where were they?  Ziaur Rahman stole votes, Ershad did it, Khaleda Zia did it, then where was their policy?
